On May 15, 2025, the American Studies Student Scientific Circle of the Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, in collaboration with the Institute of American Studies and the Georgian Association for American Studies, will host the 10th Annual Student Scientific Conference on American Studies, dedicated to the memory of Professor Vasil Kacharava.
Conference Topics:
The conference invites presentations on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: History, politics, foreign relations, culture, education, literature, philosophy, and gender studies.
Participation Guidelines:
Each presentation must have one author only.
Presentations may be submitted in Georgian or English.
The conference is open to undergraduate and graduate students from accredited universities across Georgia.
All submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Conference Organizing Committee.

Opening session: 11:00 AM, TSU, Institute of American Studies, Room 152 (2nd Building)
Presentation Format:
Presentation time: 15 minutes
Discussion: 5 minutes
Submission Requirements:
Participants must submit the following materials:
Application (in a Microsoft Word file):
Title of the presentation
Name and surname of the author
University affiliation
Level of study, current course, and academic program (in both Georgian and English)
Name the file as: Application – [Author’s Name and Surname]
Abstract (in a Microsoft Word file):
Abstract in both Georgian and English (250–300 words each)
Font for Georgian: Sylfaen | Font for English: Times New Roman
Font size: 12, Line spacing: 1.5
The abstract should clearly outline the novelty, relevance, goals, and results of the research
Name the file as: Abstract – [Author’s Name and Surname], Title of the Report
Recommendation Letter (in PDF):
Recommendation from the student’s academic supervisor
